New Life

The New LIfe International Children's Home (NLICH) was established in 1997 to address the needs of orphans and less fortunate school age children.

The physical plant consists of 3 semi-detached buildings located on about 4 acres. The school provides educational opportunities for 143 pupils including 40 residential students and orphans. Instruction is provided by 10 full time teachers and a head instructor. The computer instruction will be provided by 2 IT instructors with internet provided by local Vodafon broadband wireless service.

NLICH is adjacent to St. Peters Anglican Primary and Junior High School (500 students) and Effutua LA Primary, Junior, and Senior High Schools (445 students) resulting in over 1100 children having access to computer instruction at the computer lab at New LIfe.

NLICG is managed by Mr. Derick Gaisie, whose mother founded the orphanage. He is a very technologically saavy administrator, who will be actively involved in overseeing the instruction in the computer lab and the maintenance of the computer lab and library facilities.

New Life is recognized in and supervised in Ghana by the Department of Social Welfare and located in the Ansepetu area of Cape Coast region close to Kakum National Park.
